Ponta Delgada's most charismatic restaurant opened its doors in 2006. Rotas was a small house that was converted into a cozy and relaxed restaurant. And, since then, it has become a stage for vegetarian food, bringing, with love, nature to the table. This is possible thanks to a dynamic and creative team.

At Rotas, we work with fresh products and, whenever possible, locally produced. Every morning we go to the market and personally and individually choose our vegetables, spices, herbs and fruits. The market is also where we get the inspiration for our menus, which change every two months.

In this restaurant, we work to the rhythm of nature and with the best that each season brings.

Rotas is a vegetarian and vegan restaurant and here we highlight the flavor, beauty and purity of a meal of vegetable origin. We care about sustainability and respect nature in its cycles. In this way, our menu changes every two months in order to take advantage of the best that nature offers us in each season.

We work with fresh products and, whenever possible, with local producers. Every morning we go to the local market and personally select our vegetables, spices, herbs and fruits. Our dishes are prepared individually, always taking into account your dietary restrictions, intolerances and allergies.

The Team

Our team is small, young, dynamic and creative. We are always the same team at lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Saturday, and we work daily on the quality and consistency of our dishes and service.

Room & ambience

The decor of Rotas is a mixture of styles. Between rustic, naturalist, and art deco, the space takes us to emotional comfort through references to the past, which are combined in harmony with the present.

The music, an inseparable part of our space, is a journey between indie, alternative rock, and blues. In this relaxed and homey environment, our customers feel at home.
